2007 Wrap Up

2007 was a big year for the Moore family ...

If you are reading this blog, you know the biggest (read - life changing) thing to happen to our family in 2007 was the birth of Tyler, but his birth was just the beginning of a year full of excitement and adventures, big and small, for our family.

Just some of the Moore highlights for the year 2007:

- Tyler's Birth in February
- I got my CPA license in February
- The Moore Family trip to Allie and Marc's Wedding in San Diego in April (this marked Tyler's first airplane trip and our first trip to Disneyland as a family)
- I started a new job in May after returning from maternity leave
- Doug and I convalidated our marriage in the Catholic Church and Tyler was baptized in June
- A sad event – our beloved Zeke’s death in June
- Andrew turned 3 in July
- The Moore/McGowan trip to the Frio Springs in September
- Doug becoming a Broker in October

The other highlights of the year were the little everyday things that are hard to quantify but are the most wonderful and fulfilling aspects of life, like...

... watching Andrew try to make his brother laugh, hearing Andrew tell Tyler that he loves him (without being prompted by me!), watching Tyler discover something new (ahhh - seeing the world through the eyes of a child) or accomplishing a new feat, laughing with Doug on the couch watching the first season of How I Met Your Mother on DVD (by the way, if you are not watching this show – start - it is hilarious!), hearing the boys laugh or seeing the boys smile, Sunday dinners with my parents, Tyler getting to meet his Great Grandfather and Andrew getting to really play with him for the first time (he was Tyler’s age the last time he saw “Pop Pop”), steak dinners with my in-laws, our weekend errands that we do as a family that invariably take us Target, Blockbuster and Pei Wei, dinners with friends, walking with my mom on the weekends, cuddling on the couch with the pups, and so many other little things …

We had an incredible year and we are so thankful for the many blessings in our lives, and especially our boys!

A new year is like an unpainted canvas, and I am so excited about the new adventures that 2008 will bring to our little family.

Happy New Year!
