Ugh. I always feel obligated to resolve to do something, change something, become something at the start of every new year, as if I am not goal-oriented and to-do list centered enough, I task myself with adding to this craziness.
This year is no different and I spent the good part of a 5 mile run New Year's Day thinking about what to put on this list and he is what I came up with:
1. Be More Present -- in light of the fact that I am so to-do list centered (see above) I find myself always multi-tasking trying to get everything done. So I am resolving to multi-task less and to be more present and more in tune to whatever activity is in front of me. I understand that this means that it will take longer to blog, write thank you notes, do the budget, pay the bills, etc. but everything WILL get done eventually, and my family and friends will appreciate me being less distracted.
2. Practice Patience
3. Be a Better Mom, Wife, Daughter and Friend (not that I think I am bad, but I can always strive to be better)
4. Be Prudent with Spending (Apparently we are in a recession ;) )
5. My #1 personal goal for 2009 - To hear the following words from Mike Reilly (voice of Ironman), "Anne Moore, YOU ARE AN IRONMAN!"
6. Spend more time with my camera, using my lenses and becoming a more well-rounded photographer (some day, this yearly list will state "Become a Professional Photographer!)
Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I think you are already a great mom, wife and friend so no need for that resolution! Your support this year has been amazing and no words could ever thank you enough for your friendship.
