Last night at (6 months old and 1 day) was the very first night that Tyler slept in his crib upstairs! What happened to my itty bitty baby? He is getting so big, so fast! He has been sleeping through the night for months, but we have kept him in his bassinet up until now for 2 reasons -- 1) it was so easy to keep him close by for nursing and 2) we didn't have a monitor for his bedroom. We have been meaning to buy a monitor for months, but the one we wanted was temporarily unavailable in stores. We finally decided today on another model and when Doug went to the store to get it, guess what he found? The monitor we originally wanted ... how perfect! For the record, he has been ready to move for months ... Mommy was just not in a particular hurry to move him upstairs!
So, when he wakes up between 5 and 6 ready to nurse, we are going to have to drag ourselves out of bed and hike up the stairs to get him, but it was time to make the move. Now, we just need to modify our bedtime routine to put the boys to bed at the same time.
In other news, Tyler is starting to show signs of "crawling readiness". Doug was moving his pacifier around on our bed this evening and Tyler was doing everything he could to try and reach it - stay tuned!
