Quest for the perfect photo

My quest for the perfect photo of Andrew to commemorate his third birthday has resulted in three photo sessions at a pond near our house and a renewed love for photography. See, in my quest to get a perfect photo, I did something that I have not had time to do recently -- practice using my camera! Each of the three sessions were at different times of the evening and with slightly differnt lighting so I was able to see the direct relationship between these variables and the resulting photos.

Anyhow, enough about the process -- let's get to the photos! Please vote on your favorite photo in the poll that is posted on the right side of the blog.

Also, for comparison, I am including Andrew's "official" 1 year and 2 year pictures as well ...

Doug is particularly fond of photo 2 because it captures his personality, even though the composure of the photo is much different than the photos we chose in previous years. Would love your feedback!
