Andrew Update
Andrew is continuing his swimming lessons twice a week now and he really enjoys it. We seem to be making some progress on the potty training front, but I don't think I am anywhere close to calling him potty trained quite yet. We have given up the diapers and he only wears a pull up for sleeping. Needless to say, Doug has been doing lots of laundry :), although it is getting better every day (knock on wood!).
Tyler Update
Tyler is eating like a champ and getting more adventurous every day. He fell asleep on me Friday night while I was chatting with Harriet after dinner at their house. It was the first time in quite a while that he has done that as I normally put him to bed awake, but I really enjoyed the cuddle time. He was so sweet and peaceful sleeping on my chest with his mouth wide open. Ahhh, babies!
We think that he is going to be slower to crawl than Andrew was, but we are ok with that since that just means another little one to chase. Life certainly changes when you can no longer put them down and come back to find them exactly where you left them!
He also seems to be going through a growth spurt as he has awakened at 4:00 a.m. screaming the last 2 nights to eat ... doesn't he know that his mama needs her beauty rest???
Major Update
We have decided to treat Major's pythium with medicine that may / may not do any good. Surgery will be too costly at this point and likely will involve removing too much of his stomach to leave him with a good quality of life. He seems to be doing well right now so we are just enjoying him and spoiling him rotten. I think it is all a ploy and he is going to live in this spoiled state for the next 10 years! :) It's a nice thought, isn't it? I guess we would catch on eventually ...
Other News
Not much else to report. I took a photography class and got a couple of tips, but I do not think it was worth the $$. I need to find a class that has assignments because I think it is only through practice that I am going to improve -- that and reading lots of books. I am about to reread a couple of books that I found helpful but that I think will make more sense now that I know a lot more. That coupled with a trip to Barnes and Noble to scout out some new books should keep me busy reading now that Harry Potter is sitting on the book shelf.
Ok, ok ... without further ado ... pictures:
