Andrew normally only plays on the "big" playground which is the newer playground in the neighborhood with bark surrounding all of the structures. The smaller playground is older with a small wooden play structure, swings and a tire swing. The smaller playground is surrounded by sand though, and Andrew is not usually a big fan of sand with or without his shoes on. However, he didn't think twice about playing on the little playground yesterday when he saw the other children there. I hope that means he is over his fear of sand! As the older children were playing he was carefully watching what they were doing and I knew it was just a matter of time until he attempted to mimic their actions.
It amazes me every single day how big my little boy has become. It seems like yesterday that I was writing down the words that he knew on a piece of paper taped to the refrigerator and now we are having full blown conversations with him! He is counting, reciting ABCs, singing songs, "reading" books (the ones he knows from memory) ... and have I mentioned that he runs really fast and he has a great throwing arm? I told Doug that he needs to quickly teach him how to steer if he wants him to be a driving pro because right now steering is not one of Andrew's priorities. Although he does like to go fast ...
Now, I only wish that Andrew would want to use the potty all of the time like the bigger kids at school!
Here is my latest FAVORITE photo of Andrew:

Andrew practicing throwing his various sporting balls:

While I like the photos above, it is getting harder to get good photos of Andrew because he won't look at the camera! He will say "cheese" but it normally takes either a) a lot of nagging or b)bribery of some sort to get him to even look towards the camera. :)
