We took a walk
this morning before the rain storm hit (again!) this afternoon. It was the first walk with both boys in the new jogging stroller. Andrew did really well sharing his space with Tyler. I got the stroller in November as a birthday present and Andrew has been enjoying riding in the middle of the stroller and having the entire thing to himself ever since, so I was not sure how much he was going to like having to share, but he was fine! Tyler slept most of the walk and Andrew and I talked and my mom pushed the stroller (so I could keep an eye on the boys). So, technically I wasn't alone all day with the boys :)Last night's rain storm was pretty bad and Andrew got scared for the first time. He was practically screaming crying, which you could barely hear over the rain on the monitor. Doug could tell that he seemed really upset, so he went to check on him. He had his head buried in a pillow and he was crying so hard that he was sweating. This happened all in a matter of minutes since the storm started right when we put him to bed. Doug brought him back downstairs with us until the thunder/lightning and rain let up and he laid on the couch with me for about an hour before going back up to bed. He was a trooper, and thankfully, once the storm let up he was not scared to go back to his room.
Unfortunately with all of the rain, we have not been able to play outside for a couple of days :(
Andrew understands though - he will look out the window and say "raining outside" and "all wet". I can attest that our living room does feel mighty small with 2 adults, 2 children and all of their toys and 2 semi-wet dogs all vying for the same space! Andrew doesn't seem to mind though. He has gotten to watch Toy Story and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and he has been riding his tricycle and playing on his tractor (yes, in the house!). I, on the other hand, am getting a bit stir crazy. Hopefully, the forecast will be clear tomorrow.
We ended up not going to Livestock Show and Carnival last weekend since by the time we were ready to go it had gotten late and we had not done enough research on where to park, etc. We decided that flying by the seat of our pants was not such a good idea with a toddler and an infant. Maybe this weekend ...
I have been doing lots of research for our upcoming trip to San Diego and LA, including planning our day at Disneyland. The boys (ok, Andrew) are going to have so much fun!
Here a couple of recent photos of Andrew playing outside after school:

Andrew LOVES his clubhouse swingset -- it is his favorite thing to do after school. He loves climbing up the ladder and down the slide, swinging, climbing the rock wall and using his rope swing. He also loves throwing Major his frisbee:

When Andrew can't play outside, he has plenty of cars to play with inside. I swear this little boy has more Hotwheels than any other child his age! Here is opening a car for Daddy's collection:

Great pictures...you already are a great photographer. The Boys are beautiful and look like both you and Douglas.
