They call me the Mamarazzi ...

I have literally taken more than 1500 pictures in the last 3 weeks. I LOVE taking pictures and trying to capture the "perfect" shot. Now, capturing the perfect shot, especially when you are photographing young children, can be hit or miss -- hence, why I have taken so many pictures! I am just thankful that I have a digital rebel. We purchased our current camera when Andrew was about 3 months old because I was frustrated with the delay between shots on the Nikon Coolpix we had. The Rebel allows me to take one shot after another with little or no delay, so I take a bunch and keep the best ones. I really think that is the key to getting good photos - taking tons of them!

As a side note ... I have never been able to answer the question, "If you had all of the money in the world, what would you do for a living?" My answer up until now was simply to spend my days on a beautiful beach somewhere and to travel. Well, I would still love to do both of those things, but I can add an actual profession to the list now -- photographer. One of these days I will learn how to use the manual features on my camera / take a photography class so that I can pursue this newly discovered passion.

Ok, back to what you really care about - my boys! Tyler has been fairly cooperative with all of the picture taking that I have been subjecting him to. He now has longer periods of wakefulness, which make for fun picture taking. Here are some of my latest shots of him:

Classic diaper only shots on black background ... I have yet to capture a perfect shot here, but I like these. I will keep trying for that elusive "perfect" shot ...

Tyler is sticking his tounge out at me -- I think that he is saying, "enough for today, mom!"

The only thing harder than taking pictures of one child, is trying to take pictures of two children together! Every time Andrew is willing to cooperate to take photos with Tyler, Tyler is hungry and he does not want to cooperate. One of these days I will get both of my boys looking at the camera at the same time!
Andrew holding Tyler's hand telling him not to cry:

Just like lions and tigers lick their young, here Andrew is licking Tyler to claim him as his little brother :)

And just because there is not a lot that looks sweeter or more peaceful than a sleeping baby (notice Tyler is never sleeping in his bassinet in these photos ...)

Tyler loves the blanket in the photos above. Our friend Allie sent it to Tyler for his birthday with a matching bear pillow that we use for diaper changes. I swear that diaper changes have become 10x easier now that Tyler gets to rest his head on his super soft and comfy pillow. Thanks, Allie!!!

I'm so glad baby Tyler loves his blankie! I can't wait to meet Andrew's baby brother in 6 weeks! I love these blogs, you are doing a great job and it's so fun to hear about your days together as a beautiful family. And of course I always love to see pictures of everyone!
