The Pups

So, I realized that I was remiss in not posting more about our 4-legged children ... so I will take this opportunity to post an update on the furry ones. Major and Zeke are doing quite well and don't seem to mind having a baby at home again. They haven't noticed much of a change except the occasional crying in the middle of the night ... and that really only caused alarm Tyler's first night home. Now, they sleep right through it!

In fact, having a baby around is not so bad for them as compared to their older "pet boy", Andrew, who likes to pull tails and attempt to ride whichever dog will let him. He also loves to pet the dogs, but he is as gentle as a 2.5 year old boy can be, which means his pets can be pretty rough. Yesterday, Andrew was giving Zeke what I like to call an "aggressive" hug ... which means he was hugging her while pulling the fat on her back. That was all before he attempted to ride her like a horse. :) Now, as most of you know - Zeke is quite a stocky dog, but even she cannot handle the weight of a 2.5 year old!

Before anyone call CAPS or CPS ... we stop this behavior as soon as we see it and we remind Andrew every day that he has to be nice to the dogs (no pulling tails, hitting, etc.). In fact, being mean to a dog = immediate time out!

I can only imagine what the boys will do to Zeke and Major when they are old enough to scheme together!
