The bluebonnet field was incredible - a blanket of blue that seemed to stretch out forever. Unfortunately, it was a little too bright and Andrew was squinting. We are hoping to try again for some better photos soon, hopefully on a cool, dry and overcast day (that is not too much to ask for, right?) Interesting side note - this field was actually private property and the owner was collecting $5 from each car to gain admission to the field. We happily paid - heck, we saved at least $5 in gas money because the field was just outside Hempstead and we would have had to keep driving and searching for at least another 30 minutes had we not found this place. How did we find it you might ask? The line of cars stopped on the side of the road!
